It is also similar to the TI-Nspire calculator that allows connecting to USB based data collection device. Also, it supports device to device transfers over USB rather than over the Link port.
The TI-84 Plus Silver Edition was also released in 200. Its predecessor is the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition. Similarly, it features a 15 MHz Zilog Z80 processor, 24 kB user available RAM. There is 1.5 MB of Flash ROM. Like the TI 84 Calculator that was first released, the Silver Edition includes a built-in USB port, a built-in clock, and assembly support. It uses 4 AAA batteries and a button cell battery for back-up.
There are four different types of programs which can be programmed into the TI 84 Calculator. First is the TI-BASIC, followed by the Z80 assembly language, Axe Parser compiled programs, and Flash applications. Many applications may be installed through these programs that extend the many functions of the TI 84 Calculator. These include games and even note-taking applications. The calculator transforms from just a machine for computing to an all-in-one device fit for work and school.
